She chose between bi-positive opposites.
:iconsixwordstories:
((Note: Since bi-positive isn't exactly a common hyphenated word, I counted it as two words. If it should only count as one, then just add the word "two" before it and we're all set.))

Bi-positive opposites: a phrase I coined myself to describe two concepts that are both "good" but can't completely coexist in the same situation (hence the 'opposites'). The phrase is a tad oxymoronic, but that's why I like it.

For example, safety vs freedom. Both are desirable, but only in an ideal, utopian world could you truly and completely have both. If you're truly safe, are you really free? And if you're truly free, and you really safe? I suppose it's possible to argue this, but it's only an example and hopefully you see what I mean.

I guess this was all inspired by when Castiel asked Dean, "What would you rather have--safety or freedom?" (or something like that) from Supernatural.

You have to wonder what the girl in my story was choosing between and which one she chose. I guess she might not be choosing between concepts at all; maybe she's choosing between people. Feel free to bring your own interpretation into the story.

That is a very intriguing concept, I have to say... you raise a powerful question there.

The phrase "bi-positive" is quite interesting. I'm reminded of being bipolar, but... yeah.

I like how you've reiterated the distance further through the use of "opposites". I'm not fond of the word "chose"... I feel you could have used something more uncertain, perhaps? Something like "wavered".

Awesome stuff, anyway. I like how this provokes thought.
